Padmé opened her eyes to see her husband smiling over her, cradling their twin infants, Luke and Leia. "They're beautiful," Anakin whispered to her. She nodded. "I love them already." Leia shifted a tiny bit in Anakin's arms. "Aw Anakin, she like you!" Padmé cooed. He grinned. Padmé sat up and took Luke into her arms and he gazed up at her face like taking a picture he never wanted to forget. "What's going to happen to them?" Anakin finally asked. "With the Empire, and such. And the Rebellion." They were both with the Rebellion to restore peace, and the twins… Padmé face quickly darkened. She looked nervous and scared. "I… I… we uh... We'll discuss it when.. when I'm out of here, at my apartment. Okay?" Anakin nodded sadly. "I guess if its for the best of it all. I love you Padmé." "I love you too." They kissed, and Luke let out a tiny little baby squeal. "My little boy," Padmé mused. The doctor entered the room shortly after. "Alright, we took the data from your test, and you are all clear to go home tonight." Padmé slowly swung her legs over to the edge of the hospital bed and stood up. "Okay," she said. "Let's go."
At the Senator's apartment, Anakin sat up on the couch and listened as his wife put the twins down to nap. She spoke in a quiet, soothing voice to them, and they didn't cry, just slept. He hoped it would stay like it was now. All together. He knew what was going to happen. They had to hide the twins from the Emperor. Padmé entered the main room and sat on the couch next to Anakin. "You know what's going to happen right? We can have them together, there powers..." Anakin cut her off. "Why not? We could just hide somewhere. There is no one to tell us what to do! Not really, we could hide on Naboo!" "Anakin, I wish we could. But the kidnapping attempts, MURDER attempts, anything. We don't want to put the twins in danger, do we?" She got to him. "But—" "No. You think I like this? Well I don't!" "My point exactly!" "NO! Not your point! We live in a big world, and we can't surround it by what we want! Its by what is meant to be. Its for the best." "Then I'll have it for the worst," Anakin muttered. Padmé glared daggers at him. "No. Period." "We COULD possibly hide them. Someone could kill the Emperor. Someone like… you." She laughed. "What? Me? You've got it wrong." Anakin managed a smile. "Okay. Fine. But... I'll miss you Padmé." "I know. We will only comm in emergencies." Before he could reply, a loud scream rang from the small nursery. The twins were awake. Padmé got up quickly off the couch and went to the nursery, and Anakin trailed quickly behind her. Sure enough, the twins were bawling their eyes out. Padmé scooped up Leia and handed her to Anakin. Leia screeched and wailed until she discovered she was safe in his arms. Her grey eyes stared up at his face. "She loves you," Padmé whispered. "You.. you should take her. Care for her and raise her." Anakin cradled her slowly and replied, "I will. What about Luke?" "He can stay with me on Naboo." Padmé glanced up at Anakin. "At the lake house." Silence was in the air for a few seconds before Luke moaned from his crib. Padmé scooped him up and kissed his forehead. "So how did you die?" Anakin asked. Padmé looked at him like he was a creeper. "What are you talking about?" "We tell the twins eachother died so they won't find out." Padmé raised her eyebrow. "You, Anakin Skywalker, using common sense? I must be dreaming!" "Haha, very funny. I think I died in the war. I got shot by a clone trooped, then they attacked when I didn't die in the first five seconds of their shot." Leia's tiny baby eyes filled with alarm, as if she understood what he was saying, and believed it. "Okay, you were murdered. Lovely. I guess I died giving birth to Leia. She'll have to believe it, I guess." Anakin frowned. "Are you doubting that she'll believe it?" Padmé brushed her hair from her face and sighed. "I'll miss you. Where will you be?" "We'll take an apartment here on Coruscant, she'll like the big city." Silence. No one spoke, the twins didn't make a sound. Finally Anakin placed Leia down and started to pack his stuff. "Bye Padmé. I'll miss you."

~~~~~~~~11 Years Later~~~~~~~~
Anakin/Leia
"Leia!" Anakin called down the halls to his daughter's bedroom. "Leia we need to talk!" "Wait one second!" Was his daughter's muffled reply. He heard a crash, then an "ow!", then Leia hitting the floor. Anakin opened Leia's door and saw her all sprawled out on the floor with all of her random stuff with her. "Hi dad!" she said cheerfully. He just stared. "What?" Leia asked. "What are you doing?" Leia laughed. "Oh this? I fell." Anakin smirked. "I noticed that. How exactly did you "fall"?" "I uh… kinda jumped off.. the bed, and tripped." Anakin laughed then got serious. "Leia, we need to talk." "Aren't we talking?" Leia asked, keeping a straight face. "Alright smart aleck, be like that." "Okay what do we need to talk about? I'm one hundred percent serious now." Anakin rolled his eyes but said, "Leia I know its hard for you with the Alliance and all, so there is a school on Naboo… I guess your old enough to have a room their and you will attend the school." Leia's eyes widened. "What? No! Leave home to go to some strange planet?!" "Its not up for debate, your going." "No I'm not!" "Leia!" "NO!!! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!" "Your the child, I'm the adult. What I say goes." "OBJECTION!" "Your kidding right?" "I'm not going? Why are you torturing me? I hate you!" "YOUR GOING!" "NOT GOING!" Anakin finally ended the fight with, "I'm done with you."
The next day Anakin had Leia dropped of at Naboo. "Bye Leia," he said as the ship landed in front of the school. Leia turned around, her eyes sad. "So your just going to leave me here?" she asked. "I have to Leia. The galaxy is at war.." "And you have to lead the Rebellion to save it. Okay, you win." Anakin smiled. "I love you Leia." Leia hugged him tightly. "I love you too dad." He kissed her the top of her head and lightly pushed her towards the school. "Go now." Leia hesitated, but jogged off to the entry of the school.
Padmé/Luke
"Bye mom," Luke called as he walked into his school. He'd been attending it for 3 years, and Padmé hadn't seen a single face she recognized. As she waited for Luke to enter, she saw a man walking off to a starship. One from the Rebellion. Padmé was a loyal member of the Rebellion, and knew when Luke got older he would be fighting by her side. But it wasn't the ship that had caught her eye, it was the man. He had curly light brown hair, very close to blonde, and he was tall. Padmé couldn't see his face, but the man reminded her of Anakin. It was impossible though. Anakin and Leia were gone with the Rebellion, and Leia was so young. She tried to let it go, but it confused her. Who was that man? Was it her Ani? Padmé sighed and walked over to her ship to leave for her home in the Lake Country. There was a war going on. If Anakin was in Naboo she would know.
